different colored flowers

My bridesmaids are picking their own black dresses. I don't really have an accent color in mind, so I got thinking. Will it look weird if each girl carries a different color flower? They could all pick their own color (yellow, pink, orange etc) and the guy's ties would match the color of the bridesmaid's flowers that they're walking with.

Also- if you pick different color flowers, should they all have the same flower in different colors or completely different flowers in different colors?  Thanks!!

I think it will look great if they each carry the same flowers in different colors...and to match it to the guys ties is great!  What are you thinking for your bouquet then?  A combination of the different colors?  How many girls do you have?

I have 5 girls. I actually didn't even think about what I would do for my bouquet! haha But a combination of everyone's colors sounds fun.  Our wedding is in June, so that would bring some great summer colors into the wedding.  I was planning on doing Gerbera daisies, and making all the bouquets myself. Thanks!

Oh my gosh...that would be awesome with Gerbera daisies!  One of my favorite flowers...and I definitely think 5 girls is enough to do that with...might be neat if the guys bouts matched too!

I like this idea of each bm having their own color for flowers, but I do agree that all the flowers should be the same to give a sense of unity. Before you get your heart set on this though, you might run this thought by your florist. This will mean that they may have to buy more flowers than if all the BMs were going with the same bouquet which could raise your costs. Just somthing to think about.

It can look really cute to do different colors, but in my experience/opinon, no one else really notices the little details, like corresponding colors for the BMs flowers and GMs ties/bouts.

They won't be paire up all day/evening, so it might look a little haphazard, with no uniformity or continuity.  (No that everything has to be all matchy-matchy by any means).

So really, I'd just spare the stress of the minor details like that, and make them all the same color, or mixed color bouquets, and one kind of bout and tie for all the guys, unless you just have extra time on your hands.

I LOVE this idea and think it would look really cool if the flowers matched the ties. BUT if it gets to be too much of a hassle to find all the different colored ties, just stick to black, that will look awesome as well!
