Flowers for Bridesmaid?

Hello, I am from Europe, but will get married in the US. My bridesmaid is American. I am not really familiar with the traditions: will there have to be a flower boquet for the bridesmaid? The wedding party will be very small (no more than 15 people), and my bridesmaid will not wear a certain dress. The whole wedding will not be very traditional. Still, I don't want her to expect flowers, and then get disappointed. What do you think?
thank you, anna

The brides maids traditionally get a smaller bouquet then the bride but yes, they do get a bouquet.

bridesmaids typically get a small bouquet, but many people are having their bridesmaids carry something else now...especially if you are doing a non-traditional wedding.  I say it is up to you (but have them carry something0

Thank you very much. Can you give me an example what else they carry?
