DFW Restaurant Reception?

Hello all! My fiance David and I are getting married in April of 2013. I am so excited! We have decided to just go to the courthouse to get married, then have a reception. I am looking for somewhere in DFW that is a restaurant/reception type of thing. Id love to just do it all in one. We are having anywhere from 125-150 guests max. Any ideas or help will be greatly appriceated. Thanx ya'll. <3

  • Maggiano's have tons of little ball rooms....that might hold up to that guest count.

We had a Knottie have both her ceremony and reception at Ferrari's Italian Villa.  We have a current Knottie having her reception at the downtown El Fenix.  Reata in Ft. Worth, Joe T Garcia in Ft. Worth and Los Vaqueros are others that I know of Knotties using.  Not sure if some of these will accommodate that guest count though.  Maggiano's is a great choice.

  • I am having my reception (and wedding also) at Los Vaqueros in the Fort Worth Stockyards next May. When I was scheduling last month they told us that most events only book about 6 months ahead so they probably still have April dates available. It's very reasonably priced and so far Vicki, their coordinator for events, has been very helpful in answering questions and offering suggestions for menu. They do tex-mex and also some other options through their catering company, head west catering. If you go to their facebook page you can see photos of some of the weddings they have had there.
  • Our reception was at Maggiano's and it was delicious and they were very easy to work with. Their banquet areas are already beautiful, so you won't need a lot of decoration (maybe just some centerpieces if you like flowers).  Friends and familyl are still raving about our reception.
  • El Fenix (downtown dallas) has incredibly affordable prices (especially their alcohol), a very private room (upstairs completely separate from the rest of the restaurant), and overlooks downtown Dallas. Plus, free parking, and all day venue access set-up are allowed. We are even having our ceremony here on the rooftop. We have around 120 guests. I'll finally have pictures by next month :)
