  • lol...home for now...visting the parentals in a little while...and then shopping with the FI for some food...this whole working out and eating healthy is pretty lame if you ask me!

Now I'm writing thank you cards, but I'm about to get ready for my cousin's baby shower. It's always awkward celebrating getting knocked up by a random dude....
Oh well, not the first in my family........

Today is date day! We're going to Studio Movie Grill to see the Avengers, to the store and then we're going to play tennis this evening!
H bought me a racquet yesterday, I've been talking about buying one for 3 years...but I'm always too cheap to do so...and he got the one I wanted. Apparently he does pay attention in the store when I'm babbling about stuff I like.

  • LOL, Carrie!  The only baby showers I've been to were for my SILs.  Most of my friends are just getting settled down and haven't had kiddos quite yet.

Has anyone seen Blue Man Group?  I didn't realize they were in Ft. Worth this week.  H and I have always wanted to see them, but the only tickets left are in the upper level midway back.  If you've been before, do you really think we can see anything from that far back?  Two tickets are $190, so if not, I certainly don't want to shell out that kind of money.

I saw them in Vegas many many years ago...I remember it was entertaining, but not worth $190.

  • I just know at the end of the shower when everything dies down it's going to turn all '16 and pregnant' and we will all ask her serious questions like, 'Do you think he will step up once the baby is born?' and 'Well why didn't you use protection?'
    I can see it now.

And YAY smurfie for new fur babies! We've been on the boat all morning, just got back and are having some lunch, then we're taking Remy to the lake to see how he does swimming so we can get him on the boat.

I adopted Lizzie (one year old) around the same time you got your puppy ... and somehow I just know you are going to tell me that your dog is already completely potty trained, lol. Lizzie went two weeks with no accidents ... then had one yesterday and another one today. Boo.

But now she's curled up sleeping next to me and too adorable for words.

I went to see the Blue Man Group a couple years ago in Orlando and I loved it we had so much fun. We were at our Product Education Conference and our company took over 500 of us managers to this and it was a blast.

I'm just going to sit around for the rest of the day FI is napping for like the 3rd time today. What a fun night we had last night. I finished all my shopping so I'm done for the day.

Posted by MarieSD[/QUOTE] He was sick!  He ate some crazy rib bones, but he recovered quickly!  He is doing awesome!  He's a little over 4 months now, and I'm sorry, he is completely potty-trained.  He actually hasn't had an accident in the house in probably a month and a half if not almost two months?  That was the easy part for us.  Our issue is the biting.  I'm hoping we're almost through that, as he has most of his adult teeth, and only two baby teeth left, but of course those are the sharpest suckers.  My arms look like I've been cutting myself.  I guess thankfully it's just us, and not furniture or objects, we haven't lost anything "yet" to his chewing.

I just looked through pictures, and I was constantly taking pictures when we first got him, but haven't taken any recently.  Sad mommy!  This is the most recent one I have of him...this makes me realize I am missing time I won't get back!

  • Kylie, I loved the pic of him swimming on FB!

Not much here.  H and I took a much longer nap than I think we should have, so now he's packing and we're going to finish cleaning out the garage so we can park both cars in there.  I'd hate for a hail storm to destroy his car while he's in MS (to answer your question in the other thread, Kathleen).

In all the craziness of the weekend I let my basil die.  =(  I'm hoping it just needs water, but I'm not optimistic.

  • Amanda, I worked SO hard to not kill my last set of plants I bought from Calloways.  I bought them the weekend after H left to go to Padre, and they were looking beau-ti-ful when he got home.  I came home one day about two weeks ago and every.single.leaf was gone.  The next day I saw a squirrel sitting in the pot, his little fat butt square in the middle of it, chewing on my plant.  Then my big, thriving moss rose started missing all of its leaves.  When I got home from work one day and saw about 15 birds on our little balcony, I figured that one out . Now I'm on a mission to keep them away, and I'm failing miserably.

We went to Fiesta today.  I was not impressed.

He was so cute!! Thevway he was swimming he kept pushing the toy further away! I was so proud of him, he did good, so now we'll try getting him on the boat next weekend.

And I'm jealous you'll be able to fit a car in your garage, we've lived here almost two and a half years, and still can't fit a car!
