Gerbera Daisy ideas?

I love Gerbera daisies and want to incorporate them into my wedding.  I'm planning on having a Gerbera daisy bouquet and plan to use them for table centerpieces.  Our site also has several fireplaces, so I want to do something on the mantels as well.Anyone have any creative, cute ideas for displaying gerbera daisies?  What about for a flower girl basket?Also, did anyone order daisies from a wholesaler?  I'm planning to do all the flowers myself (well, with the help of a few creative friends!).TIA!

A heads up about gerberas - they're really water-sensitive, meaning that, without a water source, they have a tendency to wilt fast. The bouquets should be kept in water for as long as possible before you need them, except be careful to blot the wet stems on a towel and allow time for the stems to drip too, so they don't end up leaking on your gowns!

Wow, you read my mind! I too am looking for ideas for using Gerbera daisies in the wedding. I just love the vibrant colors. I'll be using hot pink and orange colored daisies. I'm having a bouquet made of only Gerbera daisies, with a mix of the two colors, with the stems wrapped in ribbon (probably pink ribbon). For the centerpieces, I'm thinking something really simple, like a tall round vase with maybe 3-5 gerberas in each vase. I'm really stuck on ceremony ideas using the Gerberas. I'm meeting with the florist on Friday, so hopefully she'll have some nice ideas. I'm not having a flower girl, but if I was I think I would have a pomander of Gerberas. I absolutely love the look of the Gerberas on pomanders.Good luck!

I'm planning to order my flowers online. Several ladies have recommended fiftyflowers.com.I did check them out.Right now I'm planning on using theflowerexchange.com.They have much better prices and some great combos with roses, hydrangeas, and gerberas, and some greens.

I don't have a picture, but, we took some cheap pots from the dollar store, and spraypainted them gold. It looked really cute.
