XP: Vase size

So I will be doing my own flowers, and I'm stuck on what size vase to get. I have already gone to Michaels and purchased 15 6x6 square vases for my centerpieces. After bringing them home and trying to fill them, it's taking a lot more flowers than I thought it would to fill the vase.

I had a meeting with my reception hall yesterday and brought the vase with me to see how it looked on the table size-wise. It looks a little big and it appears like I can downsize to the 4x4, but without seeing it i'm nervous that it will be too small.

I'm not sure on the table dimensions, but they are round tables that can seat up to 8 people. Does anyone know what size would work best? Or what size vase you used for your tables?

On 60" rounds that seated 10 (but could seat 8), I used 6" cubed vases.

If you are worried about the amount of flowers you will use I would use the smaller vase.  Those square vases take a lot of flowers to fill completely if you are looking for that mounded look.  If you are still afraid that your table will look stark with just the vase think about adding 3-5 votives and scattering petals around the centerpiece.  This will add a little extra punch for very little money.

Our tables are round and seat 10, and I'm doing 4*4 square vases, they will still take me a good amount of flowers to look full. I'm also adding 2 smaller square vases with floatin candle inside or just 1 flower in water.

Either the 6" or 4" cube vases would be fine for an 8 seat round table. 

The square vases do take a lot of flowers to fill them.  Have you considered using some greenry to make the flowers go further, or using cheaper, full flowers?  Fully opened carnations or alstromerias are very full and economical and come in a variety of colors.
