Submerged Orchid Centerpieces

Is anyone considering these as their centerpieces? My dream centerpieces are in the picture below, and my mom is freaking out saying that they'll be goopy and water-logged by the time the night is over. I'm hoping she's not right, because I've seen a LOT of girls who've used them as centerpices.

Can someone set this straight for me??

Thanks!!

I had them for my wedding and they held up fantastically all night!! We even saved some after the event to take home (didn't leave for honeymoon til a week later)... they lasted nearly the entire week!

I want to do that centerpiece too but with the wider floating candle. I am just curious how much the orchids would cost? I have to start shopping around.

try Sam's Club for cheap orchids and other flowers in bulk; SFAIK, they're cheap and have good reviews in general, but where I live you have to let them deliver, you can't go and pick the flowers up.
