Ornate Church, Outdoor Courtyard and Formal Ballroom: Different Flowers?

Hi Ladies,

My wedding consists of three very different styled venues, which leaves me always finding that a single floral design does not match the setting. The church is very ornate with mahogany, gold gilt and stained glass circa 1920s. The cocktail recpetion with be outdoors in a courtyard that sourrounds a vintage fountain under palms trees, upon which we transition into the dinner reception in a formal ballroom with scones and chandeliers with a parkay dancefloor. I love the whole Roaring 20s feel of the historics venues, but picking florals just for ambiance has been difficult.
Do you think it is reasonable to use lush tropical flowers (birds of paradise etc) for the cocktail area with the place card table etc and more traditional (roses, lilies, baby's breath etc) for the church and ballroom? Could I even go as far as using all white in the church and colors are the reception? Or do think this will confuse people?
 Thanks! I appreciate advice!!!

Use the same theme in all the venues.  Whether you decide to go with colours or flowers in your wedding party, or a tropical theme.  That way it looks like it's all part of lyour wedding.  Bunches Bob, floral designer
