Ready to make final decision on vendor

I know who I want to do my flowers- I went for the consultation- Liked her work, and the price somewhat. She over budgeted me which was ok, because it will end up being less. they provide she set up.  Are there any other very important questions I should ask her before I give her the deposit?  I just want to make sure I have my ducks in a row.  She is a reputable designer, and I have hearn nothing but good!  I just want to make sure I ask all THE questions!

Make sure you have backup flowers in place in case there is any chance your flowers aren't going to be available.  Lilacs have a very small bloom window. A lot of spring flowers need help staying upright.  For me, it was black eyed susans that required a back up flower.

i have a book that has all these questions in it, it's been invalueable. one question that you're supposed to ask every vendor is, in the event that you are not able to provide flowers on the day of the wedding, is there someone else who would? basically you just want to know who the backup person is, or if there is a plan for the unforseen. if it's a one-person operation and she gets sick, what happens? none of my vendors have been thrown off by this, but it's a good one to ask.
ditto pp, i think you should also ask what a replacement flower will be, if the florist has trouble getting the ones specified in the contract.
