We're doing pretty expensive big floral centerpieces for the tables at our wedding in two weeks. We have a kids table and I thought it would be silly to spend $100 on flowers for this table. SO, I had the idea of asking our florist to have a balloon bouquet at this table instead with one for each kid that they can take home. The kids table is in the back corner, so I don't think it would mess up the flow of the room, and instead of our regular favors, they are getting little boxes full of stuff to occupy them. I also thought the balloons would be a good way for the parents to instantly find the kids table in the crowd.
Here's the question- I feel like balloons are kind of reserved for birthdays, anniversaries, etc and could be cheesy/ tacky at a wedding as decoration. Do you agree? If I have them on the kids table will it be weird? Let me know your thoughts.
