Size of Hydrangeas

I am preparing my centerpieces myself for my wedding. I wanted to use hydrangeas for my centerpieces, but I am not sure how big they are. Can anyone give me an idea of how big one stem is? I am trying to figure out how many I would need for each centerpiece. Thanks for the help!

Usually 2-3 stems is a good size for centerpieces.

These are pictures of 3 stems together. HTH.

They come in a variety of sizes, anywhere from the size of a tennis ball, to some the size of soccer balls.

Most are a little bigger than a softball, about 5-7 inches across/round.
