Ivory flowers/white dress?

Thinking about having one of my colors be ivory...do you think ivory flowers look alright against a white wedding dress? Or a white table cloth? I can't decide how I feel about it.

I personally do not like when brides have a white/ivory bouquet. I like having a colored bouquet so that way it pops off of the birdes dress instead of blending in. This is just my opinion.

My florist said that if you have a white dress use ivory flowers or vice versa. If you use the same color white and white then the flowers disappear. My dress is ivory and I'm doing a white bouquet w/purple accents.

I actually like white and ivory mixed together in the bouquet so you get more depth in the arrangement and I think it photographs better. If you have all one tone of color in a bouquet it can tend to look like a blob in pictures that are not close up.

I used a mixture of white and ivory at my wedding.  Most "white" flowers are more ivory than stark white.  Here was my bouquet:

And my table (with both white and ivory petals):

Most "white" flowers are various shades of off white or ivory anyway.

I personally think a mix of white and ivory flower would look nice against most any of the various shades of white/ivory/champagne/gold wedding gowns.

While a color will certainly stand out more, the white/ivory flowers will still show up, and are a timeless, elegant look.  I think the flowers should complliment your wedding day attire as an accessory.  If the flowers "pop" too much, they can distract from you/the bride, who should be the main focus.

But it's all a matter of personal preference.
