Red Roses for a Splash of Color?

My wedding colours are gold and ivory, but my favorite flowers are roses and peonies. I want them to add a splash of color to my generally monochromatic scheme. Will it work?
My Best friend is my soon to be hubby! We split time between Norway and Denmark, our jobs are pretty hectic. But love gets us through!

Either would work, check to see if peonies are available for your time of year though.  You can also get roses in ivory and champagne-y colors.  I wanted peonies, but my wedding is during the 2 weeks of the year that my florist can't get them.
  • Garden roses are a great variety that look like a peony and are available more year round

</div><div>Since garden roses are in season more, they will be less expensive.  Peonies in the off season are expensive, and they're only in season for a few weeks, so if they're not in the budget you can cut back on the number you use and sub in garden roses or just use garden roses to get the same look.

  • My wedding colors were champagne and ivory and it was between doing all red roses and all white flowers.  I ended up going with all white, but it was a VERY hard choice that I went back and forth on for weeks.  Red flowers will look beautiful.
