Bouquet color help...

My theme colors are red/black. My BMs are all wearing black dresses and red shoes. They will have red carnation bouquets. I thought about having red roses for my bouquet, but I'm wondering if this is too much red? Would a bouquet of white flowers and red accents look odd for my bouquet?

Re: Bouquet color help...

  • You can go either all red (but try to stay some brightness of carnations) or you can go all white, no rules that say your colors have to be in your bouquet.

    or

Their flowers red with stems wrapped in white satin ribbon & then for you all white flowers wraped in red or red & black pattern satin ribbon.
  • my colors were burgundy, ivory and black.
the girls were in burgundy.  i was so worried that they'd end up with red rose bouquets on burgundy dresses and that the flowers would barely be seen against them.

all of our flowers were a mix of ivory (baby's breath, roses, lillies and orchids), burgundy (roses) and greenery (ivy).

i loved this, becuase the girls' bouquets didnt blend in completely with their dresses and neither did mine.  my bouquet cascaded down a little too and it was clearly different/more elaborate than the girls'....personally i loved the mix!

...i LOVE your idea for the girls.  I would do your bouquet mostly white/greenery tones and add in maybe 3-5 carnations for a little splash of color.  you can also add some baby's breath or something to theirs to break up the red a little more.
