Beach Flowers - Help...flower clueless bride...

We're having a beach wedding in May & my theme would best be described as "relaxed & beachy with touches of classic".  I just started talking to a florist, but am really unsure of what I want with flowers/what would go well with my theme.  I guess this is not something I've thought of in detail & am really pretty clueless when it comes to flowers.  Colors are light yellow & white (with maybe a splash of green or orange or both).  Any thoughts from past experience?
Thanks!!!

You don't have to know anything about flowers, or decide of specifics.

Just come up with a "look" and colors you like, find some inspiration pictures, show your florist, and let them "do their thing".  They are professionals, and have done many weddings.  They can put together a mix of flowers with whatever is available at the the time, and give you that same, or similar "look".

It might even end up being less expensive that way, because they won't have to special order anything or worry about what is in season.

From your description, I'd picture the kinds of flowers that grow naturally in the grassy areas around beaches: daisies and Queen Ann's lace. The "classic" could be brought in with roses or calla lillies depending on what your florist would recommend, or what your budget is.

    Good luck.
