Florist question

A friend/co-worker is doing the flowers for my wedding (she has a business on the side) and since I am getting a mock-up of the table and linens during the tasting, I am wondering if it's appropriate to ask for a sample centerpiece? I don't want to ask her to do more than she usually does. She is doing everything at cost, and I don't want to be overly needy. Suggestions?

I think it's Ok to ask--but offer to pay her for the cost of the arrangement, just as you would if you were doing a mock-up through a regular florist.

Ditto, but make sure she has enough time since she just does it on the side.

yes pay her for the centerpiece.....it will give you an idea of her skill level and if she id really the person you want to make your wedding flowers. Better to see her work ahead of time than to be suprised the day of your wedding.
