Japanese Theme floral centerpieces idea???

Hello Ladies!! I am going to be having a Japanese type theme for my wedding, and I was wondering if you had some ideas on a cool centerpiece. I know main flowers are cherry blossoms and orchids, but is there something creative I could do with that?? Or any other type of flower. I was thinking skinny vases with a few cherry blossom branches, but I wanted to try and dress it up a little. Any Ideas?????

One wedding where I was a guest had pots of bamboo with spagum (sp?) moss covering the soil and origami cranes nestled in the moss.  She used 1000 origami cranes in the decorations as that was a good luck tradition.

You should google Ikebana.  Ikebana is the Japanese art of floral design and the images should be able to give you some great ideas for centerpieces.  Needless to say, in this style, the less the better.

I saw some azalea topiaries for sale at a store recently--something like that could be really cool if you used the right pot (think clean lines). You could probably save a lot of money while still having cool centerpieces if you use live plants instead of cut flowers. Potted phaleanopsis (sp?) orchids or bonzai trees, perhaps?
