Boutineers?

I am not a fan of boutineers in general however, the gm and FI are wearing white tux's and I feel they need a splash of color. I am fine with this, my problem is my mom demanded we do boutineers for FOB and FOG. That would be fine if they were wearing suits/tux but my dad(and FIs) are not the suit and tie kind of guys. They are wearing tan dress slacks, dress shirt and tie. I think boutineers without a jacket will look weird and be uncomfortable, my friend and mom are swearing up and down it will look fine. Any thoughts/opinions/experience with this?

    it will look fine. My sis had the GM in her wedding last year not wearing a jacket, just a white dress top with black slacks & I thought they looked great.

    Just get them.  This is not worth the fight.  You're not having to wear it and if the dads think it's fine, just give on this one.
