ordering flowers online?

I'm sorry if this have been asked before....I'm new to the flowers board.

Originally I was just going to have a florist do my flowers. We found one that will give us a better price than all the others, and is very nice and attentive. However, some things just came up financially and FI is hoping we can cut some costs (especially since I recently fell in love with a bouquet that is going to cost much more than the one I had the florist come up with for me). I have a friend who has made many wedding bouquets in the past (including my sisters) and has offered to help, so I'm not concerned with that part. I'm just not sure where to get the flowers from. I'm checking into Sam's Club. Has anyone here used www.theflowerexchange.com ? The reviews on the site are favorable...but then again of course they would be. Just wondering if anyone can guide me. Thanks in advance!

I looked at Sam's Club, Costco, and a couple of online flower shops and decided that for me the best option is going to be going with a local florist. Originally I was going to do Costco, but when I realized I would need to store all the flowers and not really have a place to do it, (because I don't live in the state I'm getting married) that I didn't want to deal with the burden of them. I do think that you get a lot more for your money using Sam's or Costco, but in the end for me it wasn't the right fit. One of the things about Costco and Sam's is that I am getting married on a Sunday and they only do deliveries certain days of the week so I would have had to get them on Thursday and then keep them healthy and happy looking until Sunday. Anyways... something to think about!

Don't know about that one. You may want to try posting it on your local board.

I was in a wedding where the flowers were ordered from Costco.  They arrived Thursday not yet in full bloom.  By the weddint on Saturday the flowers (roses) were beautiful.

I was going to do the same thing, but I will only need about 50 roses to do my bridesmaids bouquets and the groomsmen/ usher boutonnieres.  I'm going to go to a local grocery store the day before the wedding to get the roses 10 roses for about $10.  This will save me a little money.
