Where to order real flowers in bulk and how far in advance?

We are doing our own centerpieces for the wedding. What are some good websites to order live flowers in bulk? How far in advance do you have to order? I have hear of fifty flowers.com. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've heard Sam's and Costco's are both good places for bulk flowers. I'm not sure how far in advance to order them, or how *late* you could actually order them, but you choose the day of delivery. You'll have to check the websites or call to find out how early you have to place an order. Good luck!

    My sister-in-law ordered from growersbox.com
The flowers were great! Not every single one was perfect, but the price was certainly right, and they looked really nice.
You want to have the flowers delivered a few days in advance so you can keep them in water and let them open up a bit (that's the only setback!), so check with specific websites to see how long they take to deliver :)

Sorry, I forgot to mention the deliver-in-advance thing that JMTK pointed out. The flowers will come all closed up so you have to plan for 2 or 3 days in advance for deliver so you can put them in water and they'll open up then. I don't know if they *have* to be refridgerated, but I think a dark cool place would be best.

I started out planning on doing our own flowers (ultimately landed on better quality silk/real touch flowers from wedideas.com). We had connections and found someone who had a large walk-in refridgerator that we could put them in. You might want to check into this sort of thing first!

We're ordering from Sam's Club and the Flower Exchange. Both are reasonably priced and have great reviews. Sam's even has pictures on their webpage of the centerpieces that the users made with their flowers. Like pp said, the sites let you pick your delivery date, but do leave some time to condition the flowers. A lot of them come from far away and will get to you a bit dry and still in tight buds. Make sure that you have buckets on hand to condition your flowers about 2 days in advance.
