Height of centerpiece

How high sould a wedding centerpiece be? I am worried about it being to low and getting lost on the table. My sister's florist recommended doing 1-7inch cylinder and 4 6 inch cylinders. Each will have blue orchids submerged in water and a floating candle on top.

I think 7 inches would be fine, so it won't get in the way of people conversing across the table. Also, I think the pop of blue in the orchid will draw the eye. They sound lovely.

You either want very tall centerpieces (ours were over 5 feet tall) or ones that fall below eye level so they don't interfere with conversation. 7 inch vases would definitely fall into that category, and I don't think they'll get lost on the table at that height.

Those are fairly see through so I don't think they would be too high to stop conversation.

My tables seat 10 people and I wanted low centerpieces. I got a few 6x6x6 glass cube vases for flowers/candles. It doesn't get as lost on the table as you would think. I'm also putting smaller candles around the centerpiece. This will add to the "not getting lost on the table' feel.
