Does the officiant receive a boutonniere?

My fiance's uncle is a pastor will be officiating our ceremony. Do I get him a boutonniere? Is that approriate or will that look like he is part of the wedding party?

I got bouts for my officiants, yes.
  • As the officiant, he is part of your wedding party.  Getting him a boutinere sounds like a lovely idea.
  • Ours was a Roman Catholic priest so no boutonneire. However, if your officiant is in a suit, a bout might be a nice touch!

  • Our officiant is a female. Not sure what she'll be wearing (older lady, wore a dress when we met), but should we expect to get something for her? I hadn't really considered it before.

  • OH, really? It never crossed my mind to get the officiant a boutonniere. I have a tight budget just getting the WP flowers, let alone getting the officiant a boutonniere!
