DIY Roses

Can I cut the thorns and leaves off the roses as soon as I get the roses, or should I do it the night before the wedding? Thanks!

You can do it right away.

You want to make sure all of the leaves below the water line are cut off.

This is very helpful. I have plenty of time and am looking to order my flowers online. We are doing all roses per FI's wishes. Do you have any recommendations for ordering roses online?

I ordered from flowersandfreshness.com (200 roses) and from fiftyflowers.com (some filler and some pre-bundled centerpieces).

I ordere a few months in advance, but I think you just have to order a few weeks in advance.

Flowers should be delivered 2 days before your wedding.  At that time follow the instructions given by the website (Usually to remove the plastic, cut stems underwater, and place in a bucket of cool water.  Then store in a cool place)

The day before the wedding, do you the arranging.  Corsages and bouts need to be stored in a refridgerator (preferably one w/o food - we used one in my mom's hotel room).  For the bouquets, we left the stems long and kept them in buckets of water.  Centerpieces were made and ready to go.  Stored in a cool place over night.  We did 4 bouquets, 20 centerpieces, and nearly 20 corsages/bouts.  It took about 5 hours w/ a quick break for lunch.

The day of the wedding, we dropped the centerpieces off at the venue in the morning, and then trimmed the bouquets an hour or so before the ceremony.  The corsages and bouts were done shortly before the wedding as well.
