Mixing Real/Natural Flowers and Real flowers?

I have very bad allergies. We are getting married in the winter to avoid allergy season.

I am thinking of using real touch/natural touch flowers for our personal flowers (bouquets, corsages) and real flowers for the centerpieces/church flowers. I've been to a few weddings that used silk flowers, and I wasn't impressed, but the natural touch flowers seem to be better.

Would this work?

Note: I would get a professional florist to make up the fake flower bouquets/corsages

This would work...I have seen it done before, but wouldn't your allergies still act up when surrounded by the centerpieces?

There are many options for non-floral centerpieces, such as lanterns, branches, candles, etc.  I think one of the prettiest centerpieces are vases with submerged flowers and a floating candle...you can have multiple height vases and extra votives around the table...this way you still have flowers within your centerpiece but since they are submerged your allergies will not act up.

I have horrible allergies too; but I had real flowers at my wedding.  I sat down with my florist to go over those flower that were not aromatic.

I used hydrangeas, gerberas, bells of Ireland, calla lilies and a few roses.  The first four are virtually unscented and roses don't set off my allergies.  If you know which flowers set off your allergies, you can manage.

To be doubly sure, we did a sniff test, a couple of weeks before the wedding day.
