Paper Flower Centerpieces

I was thinking of unique ideas for centerpieces.  I came across in a mazazine, a vase filled with paper flowers.  I experimented with making varieties and thought they looked really cute.  Do you think it is corny or it will look cheap to use this idea for our reception centerpieces?

I have seen these done in some pictures over on the DIY board and they looked great!

If they are done well then I think they would be great to use for centerpieces.

This idea is interesting to me also. I think that if they are well made, they can definitely look like a cool centerpiece.

A Knottie whose bio I followed when I was planning did tissue paper centerpieces and they came out great I thought.

My parents went to a very fancy wedding at a country club where all the flowers were all paper flowers.  They were certianly non-traditional, but very talked about.  The best part were her favors.  The bride's mom was a potter and she made individal ceramic vases and they put a paper flower in each one to take home.
