Flowers in bulk

Hi gals! Is it cheaper to buy flowers in bulk and them give them to a florist for arranging?

Re: Flowers in bulk

  • It probably is cheaper to DIY. Beware, though. A friend of mine did her own flowers a few years ago. She ordered from a wholesaler and they were delivered to her. When they arrived, the flowers had not bloomed yet. So she had to run to the grocery and put something together last minute. Also, think about who is going to be putting the arrangements together. If you are doing it yourself, then you might be up late the night before doing it. If you aren't have many flowers or you have people to help, then I think it should be fine! Good luck!

  • You will still be paying the florist, container and labour, if they will do it for you.  The only saving of course is the cost of the flowers.  However, if you decide to make them yourself, then you will save, and if you go into youtube, there are videos to show you how.

  • I'd be really surprised if you could find a florist that would do this or if the savings would be that much.

  • I am a DIY Bride & I am also ordering my flowers wholesale. Much much cheaper. I dont really care for flowers so only the wedding party will have flowers. The bridesmaids will be helping me put them together. I have been watching the videos on youtube. Im confident that I can do it. I have always been DIY with everything & I helped with my sister's wedding. Good Luck.
  • Does anyone know of a florist who would allow you to provide your own flowers in the Connecticut area?
