DIY Flowers...Help Me!!

So I really want to do my own wedding flowers, and want to keep it easy,  but I am having trouble deciding what flowers to use. I need your opinions. I want to use garden roses for my bouquet and lavender hydrangeas for my bridesmaids.Do you think a bouquet of white and light pink garden roses would look ok with the bridesmaids bouquets?  My first thought is they just wouldn't look that great together and i'm afraid they if I kept them separate like that it just wouldn't flow right. So then I was thinking for my bouquet of mixing the white garden roses with lavender or white hydrangeas and keeping the bridesmaids with just hydrangea bouquets. PLEASE tell me what you all think!!!

This is what I did, not sure if this will help you or not but it is worth a shot. Then mine will be pink with white roses in the middle.

try weaving a few pink majorika spray roses through the hydrangeas..It's easy and looks awesome... just poke them right through to top gently...Get some flowers and play around..It's easier if you practice a whlie... you can totally do it.
But be sure to get some israelian ruskus leaves to back the  hydrangea to keep them from wilting...

What about using white or pink hydrangeas for the bridesmaids instead of blue? Then you don't have to worry at all about whether or not the blue will look ok with your pink & white rose scheme. I like migdemoto's idea too.

I think that it would look fine, but be very careful when working with hydrangeas. They tend to wilt/brown very quickly. I would make sure to do some mockups of your design well in advance of your wedding so that you can see how they will last for you. Then you will also be able to see how your colors play out IRL.
