DIY flower - ordered wholesale?

Hey all  -

I was considering doing some very simple arrangements for flowers and thinking that if I went that route I might be able to order them wholesale, online and have them shipped to me before the wedding.

Has anyone had any experience with this, good or bad?

My wholesale flowers from flowersandfreshness.com and fiftyflowers.com come in 1 week.  I hope for a good experience :)

There are posts on this all the time.  Try scrolling through previous posts for help too.  Many people have been happy with Costco and Sam's Club

Ordering on line you are paying retail.
you also have no idea as to what you are getting and how fresh they are.
Those flowers must be processed after you receive them.
    Cut correctly and hydrated.

Sugestion.....buy local if you are going to do it yourself.
    See it .....in person.

I checked sams club out the reviews are wonderful. I will go into the store to see the type of flowers in person then order them. I didnt even think to go to sams club but i will now. Thanks ladies.

i got my flowers from sam's and they were beautiful!  i ordered them a month in advance because that's when i had the money.  they arrived on the designated shipping day by fedex two days before my wedding.  after i got them in water, they started to open.  i was very pleased.  i got white hydrangea, and the mix of yellow & white roses.

If you order from Sam's, they come with the care instructions (and I think maybe some flower food too).  I'd just suggest to have some buckets on hand to put your flowers in after you cut them (regardless of where you buy them).

We looked a fiftyflowers, sam's club, costco, and a few other places online for tropical flowers, and ended up going with costco/sam's.  We got calla lillies, gerbera daisies (assorted), and a mix of carnations (about 1500+ flowers), and when put in water, or with a damp towel, the flowers started to open up :)

I'm overall very pleased with their services, and plan in the future to get flowers through them!
