garden rose prices

Anyone have an idea of the average cost of garden roses? I really wanted peonies, but they are not available in August. So a florist I talked to reccommended garden roses, which look similar; however, they gave me an extremely high price. I'm wondering if they will be expensive everywhere or just that florist? It is a pretty upscale shop.

    They are expensive and a special order type of thing.. Across the board about 7.50 each is pretty much the price... But they are really pretty and worth it.   They all ship f

    garden roses are running about $9 a bloom right now. I have peonies and they are $12(off season) but they are available

    yup - garden roses usually run about 3-4x the price per stem compared to "regular" or hothouse-grown roses..
