Bought the urns, Only need the flowers

I just purchased these fabulous urns that I thought would be great as centerpieces. Is it acceptable to provide urns or vases to a florist to create the centerpieces? Not sure if it taboo like providing ingredients to a chef to create a meal.

Providing the containers to your florist is completely ok.  Not only will this save you some money (because the florist will either have to purchase or rent out the containers for your and jack up the price to cover their costs) the florist will get a better idea of your style from the type of containers you like.
