New to this board!

Hello ladies!
I have been a member of the knot for some time now, however I have not been on the Dallas-Fort Worth board just yet. I live around the Dallas area and I was supposed to get married in Corpus, but due to financial reasons, my FI and I pushed our wedding back to August 4, 2013. I am trying to get everything in order for the ideas of what I want.
We are getting married in the Harkins Theater (anyone been there? I love it!) and we are having a movie themed wedding. We're going to have a nacho bar, a hot dog bar, a pop corn and pickle bar, and a candy bar. We are going to make like little fake movie trailer of our wedding to play during the wedding and we are going to do a montage of the trailers of all of our favorite movies. We're going to try and put a red carpet down where we will get married and I would LOVE if my bridesmaids wore gold dresses (our colors are red and gold)
So, basically my post is for two reasons:
1. To introduce myself and,
2. To ask all of you Dallas-Fort Worth ladies is there anywhere you know of where I can find gold bridesmaids dresses that aren't insanely expensive? I'm looking for a budget of about $40 to I'd say $70 most (maybe $80 if we REALLY love the dresses)

I found dresses from Banana Republic for my BM's. Looking at retail stores was where I found my greatest selection, since I wanted more casual dresses. Think outside the box and don't JUST look at bridal places.

I love the Harkins and they have THE BEST POPCORN of any movie theater.  I think your idea sounds amazing!

Hey glad you made it over!  My girls wore champagne (kind of like gold) and we got them at DB and they were right at $100 or so I think.  But they were long and satin so if you got something shorter and in lighter material (which would be nice for August), you might find something in the upper end of your price range.

Welcome! I love Harkins, it's right by our house so it's our theatreof choice! For your dresses, check out Nordstroms online, they actually have some pretty reasonable prices.

congrats! Depending on how many bridesmaids you have, I would check out david's bridal in the store. When we went, we found some $159 dresses on clearance for $59!
