Reasonable price for CT florist

Hi all! I need help!! I'm looking for a florist in CT and the two  I met w/ quoted me $5000!! I have nine bridesmaids and over 200 guests, so it is a big wedding, but i'm not sure if that price is standard or if i should keep looking. any advice/input is much appreciated!

Try posting this on your local board. If you go to the left blue side bar, you can find your board. This is an international board so many of us won't be able to help you with what is reasonable and what isn't for your area since prices vary so much. 

If you provide a more detailed description of what the florist wants to charge for bouts, bouquets, CPs, etc. as well as the types of flowers you want and when your wedding is, then you will receive more input.

I am in the same boat- 200 ppl, 8 Bridesmaids in CT. I got one quote for 5-6k but that is way more than I budgeted. I want to spend less than 4k. When is your wedding? Mine is Sept 25th

It all depends on the type of flowers you want. I'm in CT and have 150 guests and 6 girls and got quoted 1,300 from Jane @ Just for you Flowers. Keep in mind though, that price includes 'cheaper flowers' such as hydrangeas, spray roses and fill for the centerpieces and gerbera daisies for the girls bouquets. That also doesn't include flowers for the guys.

I second Jane at Just for You. She did my wedding in July 09 and my flowers were gorgeous! Not to mention she is super nice. She is so flexible & willing to work within your budget. I got a lot of flowers within my budget which was under $1500. I highly recommend her!

I am getting married june 19th 2010 and found Designed to Order florist in Manchester.  She is wonderful and very well priced.
