Alternative to Flowers?

Im trying to cut costs any way i can and even silk flowers dont "WOW" me. is it weird if we dont do flowers at all? or can you think of any cheap or free alternatives to bouquets?

    My friend had an Etsy seller arrange a bouquet for her made of fabric flowers, feathers, and brooches.  Her BM carried clutches.  I don't remember the groom or GM wearing anything.  The centerpieces were tall vases with candles, two silver doves (she found the doves at the dollar store and sprayed them silver), and a picture frame of their dog that doubled as the table number.
