Flowers

I am getting married in October of 2011.  Our colors are platinum and blackberry.  Does anyone have any suggestions for flowers?  I'm not a huge fan of roses and gerber daisies.  I like different flowers that aren't typically seen.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!  Thanks!!

Hmmm...that is a unique color scheme, what do you think of all white flowers?

First of all, do you prefer silk or real flowers??  Real flowers are going to be high dollar and probably difficult to do in those colors.  Otherwise, if you want to do silks you could maybe do a blackberry flower with cream/white flowers and some silver accents.

Platinum and blackberry, as in gray/silver and deep, dark purple?  It will be hard to find flowers in those colors, so you may have to settle for "close" or flowers in a contrasting/blending color theme.

Personally, I'd go with assorted bright white flowers, some antique lavender colored filler (purple haze limonium or actual lavender flowers), and some soft green/silver greenery, like silver eucalyptus and/or dusty miller.  Then I'd add some silvery rhinestones or crystal embellishments to the WP flowers, or use silver bouquet and bout holders and silver containers for centerpiece flowers.

Or there are a few varieties of flowers that come in a very dark purple/blue or "black" color (not really black, just a very dark purple color).  Like callas, roses, orchids, dahlias...

A burgundy dahlia bouquet would be gorgeous, like the larger (top) bouquet in this picture.  You could do silver accents like silver brunia in place of where the green hypericum berries are:



Or, if you like the look of a white bouquet, I think an all anemone flower bouquet would fit into your color scheme really well:

The bridesmaids dresses are from Priscilla of Boston and their version of blackberry is purple shade (not too bright, but not too dark).  The platinum is a dark gray.  I love the suggestions that I have been getting.  Any suggestions of other colors that would compliment these two colors?  I'm wanting to use real flowers as much as possible, but am not opposed to silk flowers for decoration.  I appreciate all of the suggestions so far!!
