Flower cost

I met with our florist today. We got my bouquet, 6 bridemaids bouquets, 2 flower arrangements for the ceremony, 10 centerpieces, and a box of greens (vines, grass, ect) to decorate the ceremony site all for just over $500! I think that's a great deal but when I posted on facebook that I got my flowers for the wedding all for about $500 everyone started commenting that that was way too much!? Is it? I don't know about flower cost but all my flowers are Gerbera Daisies. Just wondering if that really is too much?

I think you got a good deal.  A lot of people don't know how expensive flowers can be once you add in the cost of labor.

I got about the same thing for a quote of $2400. A lot of people don't realize how much weddings cost. I guarantee you that those same people will plan a wedding later on and think...whoa crap, she got a really good deal!

ok good! I thought it was a good deal but they busted my bubble yesterday! But lessoned learned I'll just post things about my good deals on these boards because other brides will obviously know better!
