Help! Local, in-season Italian flowers?

I'm planning on being married in Rome, Italy in January next year, and I can't seem to find information on what flowers are in season over there at that time! Does anyone know or know of a way I can find out?

I just want to buy my bouquet the day of from a street vendor selling flowers (the wedding is going to be during a trip with my art department, so the whole ceremony is very low key), but I don't know what sort of flowers to expect so I can have an idea ahead of time and possibly coordinate wedding colors for the reception back home.

Do you have a friend/relative that lives there?  They can help you with that information.  Another idea would be to google it?  There has to be info. out there about it on the Web.

Summeraffair- Thank you so much for the website!

AbbeyS2011- I don't have friends or family there. My only contact is a friend of my professor, who I haven't been able to talk with yet. I had tried looking things up on google before, but had very little success.

mrs.jesse- Thanks for the idea. I may have to look into that.

Thank you all for the input!

I'm in Rome, have been for 9+ years, and right now there's not a lot of variety as far as street vendor flowers go...there are lots of mums, some tulips, but you can get callas and bright orchids, too.  On Tuesdays from 10 to 1 the wholesale flower market in the neighborhood of Prati opens up to the public, and you can find a wonderful variety of seasonal flowers and plants, including orchids, for cheap. Otherwise I'd find a florist you like once you get to Rome and place an order.  Let me know if you need any help!
    Ciao!
