DIY Veil?

So I'm thinking about doing a DIY Veil.  I bought one from recommended ebay vendor, Veils by Leslie that has a cut edge. 

I'm about to buy some Swarovski crystals off Ebay for next to nothing.

Has anyone here done it?  I figure it'll be lots of hours, but probably not too bad considering a Swarovski edged veil goes for a lot at the bridal salon and even on Etsy because of the intense labor.

Just wondering if anyone here did it and what type of crystals you used.  I'm thinking about running by a bridal salon to look at it more closely to see the order of the beading.

I actually planned on adding crystals to the veil I am wearing.  I borrowed it from my MOH!  I just have no idea what I'm doing!  So I am really no help here, just thought I'd post something.

I'm wearing my mother's veil.  Again, no help here either, but I was wondering the same thing.  we have to take ours off a huge beaded hat (oh 80's bridal fashion) and put it on a comb and then add beading.  I was thinking about just taking mine to an alteration place (or to the infamous Becky Fowler)  Let me know what you find out!

I think they are using a variation of the bugle, seed, and bicone Swarovski beads.

I'm excited!  I bought a cut edge veil and will try this with some test tulle first.

I used those Jolees swarovski hot fix ones for my veil. I purchased them at Micheal's with a 40% off coupon. I loved the hotfix ones because it wasn't messy. I purchased a hot fix tool that has changeable tips for different dimensions at Jo-Anns. I just set it on for a few seconds to secure it.
