Mix of Silk and Real??

I've been looking a floral arrangement and bought a book on silk wedding arrangements.  There is on bouquet that I love and am debating if I should do it in silk and just have the other flowers (bouquets, buttoniers, wristlets) done in real flowers.

We are not having a bouquet toss, and no flowers for the ceremony - still undecided about the reception site.

If you're not doing a toss, then go for the silk. Then you'll be keeping your bouquet I presume, so it'll make a lovely addition to your home as either a centerpiece for your dinning room table, or, displayed in a vase in your wedding color (so you don't see the stems) next to you wedding photo(s). This also cuts out the cost of preserving your wedding flowers as most brides do.

As for the other flowers in your wedding, real is not a bad idea. That way your BMs will have something pretty to take home and have on display. For the boutonnieres and wristlets, same thing. When the flowers die, they wont have the same meaning to everyone as your bouquet does to you.

Since flowers don't seem to be your thing, try centerpieces that are made up of tall and short candles, floating candles, pictures, or any combination of the sort.

    Hope this helps!!!

I don't know how well mixing the two together in the same bouquet will work. I'd go with one or the other.
