I want a wildflower bouquet... do I diy or do florists offer those?

I REALLY want the wildflower vibe going on at my wedding..but i'm unsure of if florists can do that?? Or do I have to just go pick flowers myself??

  • Hey,
I want to do the same thing. One of my bridesmaids gave me really good advice though...Do I really want to spend the morning of my wedding arranging bouquets? So I think I am going to have to go with a florist. I'd rather have a professional do it. Although I really liked the idea of getting my own wildflowers too!! Good luck!

I don't want to if I don't have to.. my question is if florists arrange wildflowers or not.....

  • What wildflowers are you looking for?  Or are you just looking for that wildflower feel?

A florist can typically put together whatever you want.  If you want a more free flowing, wildflower feel to your flowers they can certainly do that.  It isn't like a florist is only allowed to do tightly arranged round bouquets.  Just bring in pictures of the look that you like and go from there.

  • I would definitely talk to florists about this.  I wanted Black-eyed Susans for my MOH's bouquet.  My florist tested out several different methods to keep them alive and none of them worked.  She said she could coat them with something but to her they look fake when you do that.  We wound up using the backup flower.  I had a daisy bouquet and that lasted for about a week after the wedding.

  • If you want the bouquet exactly as you want it, you need to custom order it. I make bouquets for brides all over. I put them together with silk flowers if you don't mind not having real flowers. I prefer silk flowers because they last the longest through bridal photos ceremony photos and your reception as well as keeping them for your keepsake box. If you would like to take me up on my offer please the flowers and colors you would like as well as the colors of the ribbon you would like wrapped around your stem, you can have as many flowers and ribbon as you like as well as any embellishments you would like. The price I charge is around 80 to a hundered depending on how many specifics you request. My email is freemankate93gmail.com, if you would like I can send I some photos if bouquets I have designed. I would love to help make your day even more special and worry free. I can have your flowers to you within two to three weeks. I can also customize any bridesmaid bouquets or boutonnieres you may need. Best wishes! Kate Freeman
  • KateFreeman2011 you cannot advertise services on here....this makes you a vendor which is against TK rules.  I won't report you because I know you are trying to be helpful but I do suggest you remove your post because someone else may not be so nice and report you anyway.

  • Sorry.  She knows what she is doing.  The rest of her posts are on Classifieds trying to sell.

  • What about whole foods if there is one near you? My friend did that for wildflower cps and bouquets and they were beautiful and very inexpensive. You just pay for the flowers no labor.
  • i am in teh same boat but my mother was horrified when i said i'd pick queen anne's lace from the ditch near my hosue.
i went to a florist and said "i want sort of a hand tied, wild flower feel".  she immedietly threw together a sample of random flowers that all looked good together.  i did this almost 1 year before my wedding becuase i wanted it out of the way....i suggest you start looking for a florist who can do what you want soon.
  • I am not a vendor thank you very much. The classified section on this website is for brides to sell things that they have and I am trying to get rid of bouquets that I had both at my wedding and at my prewedding parties. I have a bouquet set of wild Daisies that she might have liked and I have no problem adding flowers to it that she specifically wanted. My bridesmaids and I used then for my wedding. As for my other alleged vendor posts, I had a sunflower arrangement at my baby shower and a rose arrangement at my wedding shower. I do not appreciate your assuming attitude as you don't know anything about me.
