Red dress

Im planning on wearing a red wedding gown. The main colors of the wedding being chocolate brown and champagne gold. I just dont know what colors to use for flowers. I was thinking about having a white bouquet. But for decorations and the boutonnieres and the MOH corsage, i dont know what colors i should do. I dont want red all over the place, since im going to be wearing it. Should i stick with nuetral colors or bring in other colors with the flowers?

I would go with warm neutrals.. look for sahara roses, or vendela ...with brown berries and a few smallish sprigs of burgundy centered waxflower or astilbe to echo into the gown a bit....it would be great and elegant..

with red as the bride gown you have to walk the slylish v slightly tacky line and you will pull it off well if you constrain the details properly..

this is sahara... picture it with reddish filler in the cracks... it's a great color!

    Something like this

    or this

may work for you too...you could hand tie with some gold ribbon and maybe include some brown twigs and red berries.
    This is really pretty too!
but with gold ribbon instead of the vase, of course!
PS...I love your colors!!!!  When is your big day?

I would use all ivory, just to keep it simple.  You can always add some red, and/or green hypericum berries, or add several shades of red flowers.

Just gotta say I'm impressed your wearing a red wedding dress!! That is so different and bold... I love it when I hear of people doing their own thing as opposed to sticking with tradition for the sake of doing so (not that there is anything wrong with that.. my own dress is Ivory :) but it's cool when people make it a point not to. Also.. I think that what kinds of flowers you use will also depend on the time of year you get married... you could definately go with roses... but the colors AND textures are something to think about... because you can have a really neautral flower... but the texture can be really bold... so do you want everything about your flowers muted? or JUST color?
