Flowers for altar

I would like to have a large vase of flowers on either side of the altar but have been unable to find flowers that we are affordable. Our colors are blush and cream. I really liked the idea of pink astilbe but our florist said they're going to be too expensive. She suggested babies breath. Does anyone have another ideas? Maybe some sort of light pink flower?

Gladiolus are large and inexpensive and come in pink.  I like the idea of babies breath -- your florist should be able to spray it pink if that's what you really want.

Please don't have your florist spray the babies breath.  It is not natural for that flower to be pink so it will look fake.

What about a mass of pink wax flower?  It comes in dark and light pink as well as white.
