Boquet and Boutonniere questions

Hi, I'm just wondering if boutonnieres are a MUST for groomsmen. We are having a casual, laid-back wedding and the groomsmen are not even wearing jackets, just dress pants, white shirts and ties. In that case is a boutonniere nessasary or can they go without them?

Also, do the bridesmaids' bouquets need to have the same type of flowers as the brides? I'm having an all white bouquet and I was kind of thinking of having a wildflower bouquet for the bridesmaids. Can you ladies give me some advice?

Thanks!

[QUOTE]I don't think bouts are necessary for the groomsmen.  My FI (and our dads) are the only ones wearing bouts for our wedding.  The GMs just have pocket squares. The bridesmaids bouquets don't have to be the same flowers as your bouquet.  As long as they compliment each other, it will look fine.

Ditto.  I tried really hard to talk my DH into just doing pocket squares but he really wanted bouts.

If it's a casual wedding, I don't think bouts are necessary.

And no, the bm's bouquests don't need to match yours.  You can do all-white for you and wildflowers for them.  It will be fine.

Yes, for a casual wedding I wouldn't worry about it. And no, like others said your bouquet does not have to be the same as your ladies. I had ivory colored roses, my MOH had calla lilies, and the other BMs had an assortment of green colored flowers (green, white, and black were our colors).
