Flowers

Has anyone used dried flowers?

I've seen lots of great Etsy listings for dried flower boquets. I'm having a rustic outdoor wedding, so those boquets would fit perfectly with the theme, but I'm wondering how well dried boquets last. Will I constantly be worried about the boquets falling apart before pictures? It definitely seems like a much cheaper option, but it won't be worth it if they don't last. Has anyone used dried flowers for their wedding? What did you think?

Re: Has anyone used dried flowers?

  • I've dried flowers in the past using hairspray and never had a problem with them falling apart. Just like real flowers, I would be delicate with them  but they should be fine as boquets!

</div><div>I've used NH Woods creations for my bouquets and I loved them! They are so beautiful and unique and I would especially recommend going with the topiary option for your bouquet as now I can easily display my bouquet in our living room. They did not fall apart, although (like real flowers) wouldn't suggest being too rough with them as the arrangements are thoughtful and beautiful. I also got my ring bearer pillow there and corsages for our moms.

  • I placed a big order with NHWoodsCreations on etsy, dried flowers for my wedding. Unfortunately I was never given any indication that leaving the flowers in their boxes for safekeeping would actually make them rot. The flowers developed a noxious smell after only a few days. I brought this to the shop owner's attention before leaving public feedback, and they had noting to say except that it was my fault- I should have known that the DRIED flowers that I ordered were not 100% dry and would therefore mold if kept in their packaging. They did however, offer a refund contingent, apparently, on me admitting that it was my fault and removing the feedback. My complaints spurred them to update their shop policy and packaging methods, thus admitting that their current practices were not up to par. However, I would not change my feedback until after the refund went through, due to the very unprofessional nature of the e-mails from them, I was not sure they would actually give the refund, that Chuck was only bluffing to get me to remove it. Well, I was right to think so. He withdrew his offer to remedy the situation and scolded me. My experience with NHWoods Creations has been absolutely terrible, I am totally disgusted by the way Chuck has communicated to me- "# one. You made the mistake!!!!! and after 40 years being in the retail busness I dont need you to lecture me on anything.. You still dont know the words , Im sorry, Thank you for helping Me, You had better learn when you make a mistake you dont get people to help you by screeming loudest. Your generation has lost the ability to be nice and talk to someone with respect. I hope you learn something usefull. And frankly scarlet I dont care about your opinion of how I spell. Now please have a nice day."

I know I am just one customer with a bad experience among many who have been happy with their product... but future buyers be ware. Do not expect any sympathy in the event that you are the next victim of a mistake. Can't believe this is how I was treated after spending $400 on their shop.
