frustrated with venue coordinator

so, i am REALLY frustrated with my venue coordinator. we decided to have our reception at the sheraton dallas and i've heard nothing but great things about this coordinator. however, she told us THREE weeks ago that she would send us the contract to sign for the venue. she apologized to me and told me that something weird is going on with her computer system and hasn't been able to send it out (this was about 3 weeks ago). last week, i sent her an e-mail to ask her what was going on and still haven't heard back from her. i just sent ANOTHER e-mail to express my frustration. i don't really know what else to do. she has reassured me that the room is ours and not to worry...but nothing is signed!! any suggestions on what else i can do?

i haven't called her because i want as much as possible to be documented...

    Pick.up.the.phone.and.call.  :)

Follow your call up with an email, if you want documentation.

    I agree with Brianna.

Fall is a pretty busy wedding season and I don't think an event planner probably sits in front of the computer 24/7.  Plus, she may be on vacation.  You never know till you call. :)

If you are really genuinely frustrated and feel that your needs are not being met then you should probably consider another venue.

It took me a while to get the documents as well.  I finally called and they sent it right over.  Also, sometimes the coordinator for these places work for multiple hotels and aren't in any one place all the time.  I'd call, leave a message and then call back to find out when that person will be working and then call back.

Also - keep in mind that the Sheraton Dallas is accommodating the brides that were victim of the Arts District building filing bankruptcy and closing on them.  If you're wedding is still a ways off, there's probably brides that have weddings coming up within the next few weeks that are requiring a lot of attention too.

    Just be calm.  :)

You need to call.. I found that works best.  It was a while between the time we committed and the contract was finally signed.  Everything that was promised in writing or verbally was delivered as promised.  My mom did email her with a recap of everything that was discussed on the phone however.  I actually have been trying to email her since the wedding and have not heard back either, leading me to believe there is a email issue.

If it's any reassurance, in the end, everything was perfect

thanks for the advice. i'm a bit neurotic/ anxiety-prone, but she e-mailed me back just now to let me know she'd be sending the contract tomorrow morning. thanks for the reassurance and from now on i will call first!
