Carnations

1) Are they in season in November?
2) Are these flowers expensive? I've never really seen them used before as weird as that may sound. I emailed my florist (vegas wedding and the hotel has a floral department) and I'm waiting to hear back from her so I thought I'd ask here.

This is what I'm going for (for the bridesmaids, I'll have a white bouquet) since it will match my sash almost perfectly in color.

And this is my sash:

These carnations are probably the closest in color to my sash colors. I like the peonies but my florist said they aren't in season in November. I was going to do artificial flowers but I can't find any real touch ones that match and aren't too bright in color.

Re: Carnations

  • Carnations are always in season. I'm assuming it's because they are easy for greenhouses to grow.  I used all carnations for my wedding because they are my favorite flower, I love the way they smell!

    Carnations are very budget friendly!

I'm using them - 3 different pink tones, with stargazer lillies. My inspiration pic is the same as the bouquet above.
