Wedding flowers.

I just wrote up a whole post and the site crapped out on me  So basically my wedding is 8 months away and we are starting to look at flowers.  A friend of mine did her own flowers and they turned out very nicely. My question right now is how many fowers there are.  I am reading the site and it says there are 10 stems per bunch and 6 bunches per box for the gerberae daisies.  Does this mean there are 10 daisies per bunch?  At 14 dollars a bunch I think that is pretty reasonable. We are a same sex couple and we each have our own bridesmaids.  This means we will need a total of 12 bouqets so we really want to save some money if we can.  Any advice would be appreciated.

you are right about 10 stems per bunch in everything except roses... those come on 25 stem bunches... 

Do plannon some breakage and wilting loss though for sure... 

Also...if you are in a wrm place Gerber daisies might need to be wired so they will not flop so allow some extra time to do that...

Also..If your wedding is in April you cn use tulips ... which are REALLLY east to work with and cheap and elegant... Just saying ... Congratulations!

Our wedding is May 18 2012.  Thank you for the advice.  Can you offer any good resources on how to put a bouget together?  I don't know how many stems per bouqet and exactly how to put it together.  I also don't know how and where to store them.  This is the first time I have looked into this so I need a lot of help.

My suggestion right now would be to go buy some gerber daisies and play with them.  see what you like.  Also, if you google gerber daisy bouquets, you can get an idea of how you might like them put together and how many it takes to do what you want.  For example, to replicate this would take 2 to 3 dozen stems

To help save money, your BM's could even carry something like this

Or even have the BM's carry just a single gerber daisy...I have seen that done too!

I like those bouqets. Thanks for the advice!  And I was planning on picking up a few daisies and giving it a practice run.
