Flowers

Need opinion on bouquets!

I am trying to figure out what kind of flowers I want for my upcoming September wedding. Our colors are navy blue and fuchsia, and I would like the flowers to be all fuchsia. I don't like flowers that are too 'much' or very formal or anything. I tend to like fairly simple and mabe slightly modern designs for them. I don't want it to clash with or take away from the top of my dress, which looks like this:

So far this is my favorite idea, all hydrangeas for me and all roses for my BM. What do you girls think? Like it, or do you think I'll need more flower types in mine? Or wuld gerbera daisies or dahlias be better for the BMs?

Honestly?  That is a gorgeous dress and I would love to see you add just a bit of depth to your flowers in order to pick up some of the detailing on your gown.
What about the hydrangea intersperced with some lighter roses for echo and play?    this one is called esperance and is big and fluffy.. a little like the bodice detailing...

there is another smaller spray rose version called mimi or something like that as well...
Love the little rose clutches for the bridesmaids....

Thanks for the advice...this is the kind of stuff I need to hear. I was hoping ymy florist consultation would be more helpful, but she made no suggestions, just was like well what do you want. I told her flowers that I liked and she was like no, those won't be in season (anemones, peonies, ranunculus, etc). Didn't even give me any other options. So I've been feeling pretty stuck.

hey,  have you picked out your florist yet?  The girls I'm working with are great and have so many ideas!  They go all over Michigan too! Check them out :)

Oh, and i say that if you like gerberas, have those for the girls, not for you since they are more casual then roses, hydrangea or dahlias :)

Everyone I talk to says "it's a world market..." so it doesn't matter if they are in season or not.  You can get most flowers anything since they are ordered from all over the world, rarely from the US, but you might have to pay a little more.  Your florist should have been able to help you, give you suggestions and alternatives.  If you are having doubts, find another florist.
