How Many Flowers

I am trying to figure out flowers for the wedding and reception. I am wondering is there a rule to how many different types of flowers is too many??

    I had six or seven different types in my bouquet (pics in my married bio).  I think if they are around the same color palate it will look fine because they will blend in with each other.

    As PP has said if they are all in the same color pallet you can use as many flowers as you want.
