Bouquets different from decor?

We really love the look of Babys Breath and maybe some carnations as our Ceremony & Reception Decor instead of some pricey flowers.
However, I want  different bouquets for myself and all the Bridesmaids. Maybe hydrangeas with lilies or something with some color.

How common is it for people to use different flowers?
Would it look strange?

My bouquet looked nothing like my centerpieces other than being in the same color palette.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • As a florist, I've come across a lot of brides that have asked this question. And I believe that the centerpieces SHOULD be different from the bridal bouquets, but in the same color pallet or a different color pallet and the same flowers. Your bouquet should be unique to you and only you, because it is your day. I would experiment with different flower choices depending on the season you plan to get married, tulips are also a more budget friendly flower.

It is your day, you should get what you want!
