DIY Flower boquets

Is it possible to rose boquets the night before the wedding? Or should they be done the morning of?

I would do them the night before. They take longer than you'd think and you'll have plenty to do the day of your wedding. Just leave the stems long or only wrap the top of the stems with ribbon. Put the bouquets in a vase with enough water so all the stems can drink, but not too much so that the ribbon around the stems gets wet. If you leave the stems long, just trim them right before you need the bouquets. Keep them in a cool area away from direct sunlight or heat sources (TV, lamps, etc.)

I did mine the day before.

The roses were delivered on Thursday.  I removed the packageing, cut the stems underwater, and placed in a bucket of cool water in a cool location (followed the dirrection on the web-site I ordered from: fiftyflowers.com)

On Friday I made the bouquets and left the stems long and placed back in the bucket or water.  The corsages and bouts were all made, put into baggies (I don't remember if they were sealed or not) and put into the fridge.  I would have used a fridge w/o food in it (like at a hotel) if possible.  (I also made the centerpieces.  Cut flowers to desired length and dropped into the vases.)

On Saturday morning the centerpieces were delivered to the venue's loading dock.  Shortly before I got dressed, I cut the bouquet stems to the correct height, dried them off with a paper towel... and then got hitched.

The flowers looked great all day.

Sure, you can do them the day before.  You can usually buy them 2-4 days in advance, if you keep them cool and in water.  If the roses come packed tight, leave them that way until the day before, or they will be over blown.

I would gather them in bunches, like for the bouquets a day or two in advance, then do the actual arranging the day before.  After bouquets are arranged and wrapped, if you can keep the stems in water they'll be fine.  Bouts and corsages can be done and kept in the refrigerator, in plastic bags or plastic storage container.

Just don't store fresh flowers in the same refrigerator as fresh fruit and vegetables, or the flowers can wilt or turn brown.
